Here’s my top CT picks darlings
…as Charlotte would say.
For today’s post, I have a twist on my Top 5 series. I’m featuring my Top 5 products from Charlotte Tilbury! If you read my blog, you know I’m a fan of Charlotte Tilbury. Charlotte is a famous celebrity makeup artist; she’s been in the field for years. If you’re not familiar with her work, I highly recommend going to YouTube and checking out her tutorials.
I adore her makeup line; she consistently creates beautiful, quality products, and it’s evident she loves to share her expertise with the world. Now on to the makeup!
First, the Light Wonder Foundation in shade Medium 6 (1.4oz/$46.00) is one of my favorite foundations. I find the older I get, the less foundation I want to wear. What I love about Light Wonder is that it feels like a tinted moisturizer, it doesn’t go on heavy or look cakey. It has a thin, liquid consistency, so you have to shake the bottle before use.
The formula is ultra-light and hydrating, it’s enriched with ceramides which is a nice bonus. It also claims to reduce wrinkles, I can’t say I’ve seen a difference in that regard, it just evens my skin and gives me a beautiful, luminous finish. It’s a lovely foundation.
Filmstar Bronze & Glow
My most used product from the line is the Filmstar Bronze & Glow (0.56oz/68.00). It looks like I haven’t made a dent, but this is very well loved by me. Yes, it’s expensive. However, you get a lot of product. I know it will last a lifetime with proper care. First, the packaging is stunning and luxurious; all her packaging is really. It reminds me of makeup that belonged to a Hollywood starlet like or Jean Harlow or Lana Turner. It has a nice big mirror too.
The highlighter has a light gold sheen that illuminates the face beautifully. My favorite of the two is definitely the bronzer. To be clear, I don’t contour with this. I use it as an all over bronzer to warm up my face. It looks a little shimmery, but I don’t see shimmer on my face, it’s very subtle. It leaves my skin looking warm and glowy.
Addicted to Love is the Drug
Next is Charlotte’s ‘Cheek to Chic’ Swish & Pop Blush in Love is the Drug (0.28oz/$40.00). The shade is a cool toned pink. If you’re a blush addict like me, you will love this blush. The powder is finely milled and feels silky on the skin. It also has a great color payoff. This blush will last an entire eight-hour work day on me. I put the darker of the two shades on the apples of my cheeks, blend the rest, and my face looks bright and healthy.
Another favorite is the Legendary Brow Gel (0.045oz/$22.50). I was so excited when this product came out. I was on the hunt for the perfect brow gel, all the ones I used previously just didn’t cut the mustard. It was the first I saw that came with a tiny wand. This wand is much thinner than Benefit’s Gimme Brow and Glossier’s Boy Brow. I love that it doesn’t disperse too much product, so it gives me clean, precise application. It deposits the right amount of color and doesn’t leave my brows hard or crunchy. Disclaimer: I believe this product was reformulated, I haven’t tried the new version.
The best for last
Finally, my favorite product of the entire line has to be the lipsticks. They are absolutely wonderful. I have a few Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks (0.12oz/$34.00), Very Victoria, Hel’s Bells, Miranda May, and Pillow Talk. At first, I didn’t think I would like them, I don’t usually gravitate towards matte lipsticks. However, this formula is different.
They’re creamy, super comfortable and they never dry my lips. And although they’re matte, they reflect light and look luminous on the lips. If you’re going to buy just one thing from her entire collection, I highly recommend purchasing one of these lipsticks. You won’t be sorry!
There’s definitely more Charlotte Tilbury makeup I would love to try, especially the eye shadows palettes. Hopefully, I will get my hands on one of those in the future. If you enjoyed this Top 5 post, please let me know. I would love to do more and feature other brands.
Lovely post! Honestly, I’ve been dying to try CT products for such a long time but, as with Bobbi Brown products, I always have to brace myself when I see the high price and make a decision as to whether I can afford it and most of the time, my bank account says no (sad face). I love the look of the bronzer, as it’s so warm, and the infamous ‘pillowtalk’ has me head over heels – I’ve heard so much about the pinky nude shade! x

Hi Marina! I know what you mean, I was hesitant at first because I knew if I liked one thing from the collection, I would want it all. There are many items from the line I haven’t tried like the eyeshadow palettes (sigh…) and their eyes to mesmerise cream pots. I have to stop by myself for the sake of my bank account lol! I will say the bronzer is incredible and the lipsticks are my favorite. Actually, I heard Rimmel has a dupe for Pillow Talk which I’m curious to try out. If you decide to pick one of her’s lipsticks in future please let me know! I would love to hear your thoughts! Xx
