Sweater Weather
…just not in Miami.
Fall is finally here, and it’s time to run through all the beauty products that will be on my heavy rotation this season! I like to create an edit for myself every season to draw inspiration and make the most out of my makeup stash. We have a mix of makeup, skincare, fragrance, and a nail polish fave too!
Blue Agava and Cacao
Starting with fragrance, I’ve fallen back in love with Jo Malone Blue Agava and Cacao. Hear me out because I know this scent might be more associated with warmer months. For me, it’s the exact opposite. The notes include grapefruit, cocoa, vetiver, cinnamon, musk, and vanilla. There’s something warm and cozy about the cinnamon and cacao, which makes it a very autumnal fragrance. It’s one of the more unique scents Jo Malone has to offer, and I hear it will be back in stock soon!
Black Rose
A month ago, I bit the bullet and purchased the Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil. I’m a devotee of the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask. It’s the best mask I own and worth every penny. I figure I would give the face oil a try. Needless to say, I’m hooked. This oil is ideal for the cold months when your skin is in need of extra nourishment. I warn you it does have a strong rose scent to it more so than the face mask I find, but it doesn’t linger. It leaves my skin so smooth and hydrated. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s a must-have for me.
Burnt Orange and Sepia
The three lip products that I will be using the most throughout this season is Burberry Kisses Lipstick in No. 85 Sepia, a gorgeous reddish-brown with a hint of pink. It works with absolutely every skin tone and makeup look. I constantly go back to this lipstick in the fall, and Burberry lipsticks are so pigmented and creamy, the formula is just stunning.
Next, the Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in 348 Call Me. I wore this one all summer, and I’m carrying it over for the fall as well. I love a rusty, burnt orange for the fall, and this paired with a cozy turtleneck sweater is a match made in heaven. No pumpkin spice late required. Finally, the Glossier Vinylic Lip high shine lacquer in Pony is my pick for an everyday nude lip. It has a hint of mauve in there for good measure. The formula is surprisingly long-lasting too!
Red Desert
I know you’re sick of hearing me talk about the Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette in Scandalust. I can’t seem to put it down. This eyeshadow palette works all year long. The quality is simply outstanding, and these colors are stunning. You have a rusty brown, a gorgeous red and a metallic copper. This palette contains the perfect autumn leaf colors. It has every shade you need to create day looks and evening looks; I just can’t recommend it enough.
For nails, Essie Playing Koi is the proper nail color for fall. It’s a gorgeous rusty orangy-red that looks sensational with any outfit. And if you’re looking for a much less expensive dupe for J. Hannah Ghost Ranch, this is your guy.
