It’s time for September Faves!
This month just flew by! I’m so happy that Fall is finally here and so excited to share the products I’ve been loving this month. There’s a little bit everything; makeup, fragrance, and even some cool gloves. Let’s get started!
September is the month I switch up my makeup routine. I use less of the bronze and peachy tones and incorporate more of my beloved berry hues. Nars Blush in Sin (0.16 oz/$30.00) I love Nars blushes because they have a great color selection. Both the payoff and formula of these blushes are fantastic. Nars Deep Throat is my all-time favorite blush and Sin is definitely on my top five favorite list. It’s a cool, berry tone with a gold sheen. It’s is simply stunning, I alway bring out Sin in the Fall and Winter months. I love a good plummy shade in the cooler months. This blush packs a punch yet wearable and sophisticated at the same time. I highly recommend it.
Another favorite for the Fall and Winter months is Burberry Lip Cover Sepia Pink (0.11 oz/$33.00) This lipstick has been in my bag the entire month. Burberry makes gorgeous lipsticks, they offer several ranges and have a huge color selection. I believe the name of these been changed and they might have been reformulated. Sepia pink is a lovely brown rosy color. I love wearing this to work because it wears off so beautifully. It leaves a lovely stain on the lips and it’s hydrating and comfortable to wear.
MAC Shroom (0.05oz/$16.00) is the newest eyeshadow to my collection. I purchased it two months ago and can’t believe I overlooked it for so long. MAC describes this I can’t believe I never pick up it before. Shroom is a Satin finish, Mac describes it as a soft beige with shimmer. I love this eyeshadow, it gives the most beautiful lit from within glow. It’s great for the inner corners but I like it on the browbone too. It’s bright but not too intense to the point that’s all you see. I find that people compliment my eye makeup more when I wear this shade. There’s something eye-catching about it.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50+ (1.08 oz/$38.00) I’ve been using this daily. I’m picky when it comes to foundations and tinted moisturizers. It’s the makeup item I own the least amount of along with powders. Mainly because when I find a good base product I stick with it. I don’t experiment too much with foundation but I’m always intrigued when skincare benefits are added. According to IT Cosmetics, it’s an anti-aging hydrating formula, infused with peptides, vitamins A, C, B, E, hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed collagen and anti-oxidants. It’s awesome for those of us with dry skin because it’s so hydrating. Coverage is decent and not cakey. I can barely detect it on my skin but somehow it makes it look better. It does exactly what it says on the tin. I will definitely repurchase this.
The perfume I’ve been using this month is Stella by Stella McCartney (1 oz/$52.oo) I purchased this limited edition bottle at Sephora. I love it when Stella MaCartney brings out these Print Collection bottles, they look so pretty on your nightstand. Stella is quite a sophisticated fragrance. The notes are Rose, Peony Flower, Mandarin, Rose Absolute and Amber. It the perfect fragrance for the office, it’s not too loud or offensive. It’s subtle and alluring.
The Fitoactiv Hand and Foot Gloves. This was a gift from one of my best friends Niky. I don’t know where she got this set but I was able to find them separately on Amazon. These are great for a pamper day or at night before bed. You just leave them on for 20 to 30 minutes, I left my on longer while watching an episode of Stranger Things. My hands and feet felt so soft afterward. Living in Miami means I pretty much live in sandals and these give my feet some needed TLC. Ingredients include Macadamia Oil, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Honeysuckle Extract and Rose Essence. They also help prevent hand and foot skin aging and that is as much as I can say about these gloves other than they kicks ass!
Finally, the nail polishes. Burberry Nail Polish in #400 Rose Pink (0.27 oz/$22.00) and Smith and Cult Stockholm Syndrome (0.5 oz/$18.00) Both of these are on the pricier side but worth it. They’re long lasting, opaque in one to two coats. Burberry’s Rose Pink is a lovely shade, perfect for school or work. It’s not the typical boring pink either, there’s something special about it that makes the nails stands out. Stockholm Syndrome is my first nail polish from Smith & Cult. It’s a cool, gray shade that pulls mauve on me. I love it and have nothing else like it in my collection. Essie Merino Cool is a bit similar but I like this one better. I can’t wait to pick up more shades from Smith & Cult.
