I purchased the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector® Mineral Blush Duo in Champagne Pop and Hyacinth (0.13oz/0.15oz – $38.00) The name is a mouth full but I’m happy to report this is definitely a new favorite. I’m in love. #HighlightandBlushOnFleek. Champagne Pop is soft white gold with pinky peach undertones. It’s enriched with ultra-fine luminescent pearls that absorb, reflect, and refract light to amplify your natural radiance. Hyacinth is a vibrant poppy pink and is part of Becca’s mineral blush range. According to Becca’s website, it’s enriched with micro-fine minerals and antioxidant vitamins to achieve a natural-looking, flushed appearance.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the other colors in the line and can’t speak on their performance. However, this duo is fantastic! The payoff is incredible. It’s so highly pigmented only a light dusting is needed to get an intense glow. The texture and formulation of Becca’s products are phenomenal and the Champagne Splits are no exception. The longevity is fantastic, I put it on in the morning and still see it on my skin when I get home from work.
The blush is gorgeous. The other colors are lovely but Hyacinth stood out to me. I don’t have a blush like this in my collection. On a personal note, I was searching for a blush similar to Tom Ford’s Cheek Color in Narcissist. Narcissist is a vivid 80s, hot pink limited edition shade. Hyacinth is a great dupe for Narcissist. I believe the Tom Ford blush is a bit more fuchsia in tone but they’re very similar; I just wanted to add this for anyone lusting after Narcissist.
Hyacinth is a gorgeous bright pink. It gives me the healthiest glow. If you want rosy pink baby cheeks this blush will give you that look. I won’t speak too much about the highlight. There are so many reviews on Champagne Pop, I will say it’s absolutely gorgeous. And if you don’t own Champagne Pop and curious about it or the Becca blushes, these duos are a great way to get your feet wet and test the products. If you find that Champagne Pop is not your cup of tea you can still get good use from the blush. A little goes a very long way with both products so it should last a very long time.
I have a few brush suggestions for the Champagne Splits. For blush, the Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Contour Brush. It’s perfect because it doesn’t pick up too much product. It applies the color softly and sheers it out to a natural finish. If you still apply to0 much just blend it out with a foundation brush. The Real Techniques Cheek Brush works great too. For highlighting the Real Techniques Setting Brush, the size fits perfectly in the pan. It will give you a more precise placement and it’s awesome for blending.
I’ve been using this practically every day for two months. It’s convenient and removes the guesswork from my makeup routine. It’s also wonderful for travel, I highly recommend it!
