Welcome to the second installment of my Pick 2 series. Today’s featured brand is Marc Jacobs Beauty. Let’s get started!
The Bad News
The Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Polish in 142 Fluorescent Beige (0.43oz/$18.00) This is the only polish I own from the line, therefore I can only speak about how this particular shade performs. Marc Jacobs describes this color as an iridescent light mauve pink. It appears more iridescent on the bottle than it does on the nails.
The color is a pretty but unfortunately, the formula is gloopy and difficult to work with. The application was streaky even after several coats and it peeled and chipped on me the very next day. Perhaps I received a dud but this was definitely not worth the price.
The Good News And It’s Very Good.
The Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in 506 Flesh & Fantasy (0.282oz/$42.00) I’m officially Kirsten Dunst in Interview with the Vampire, “I want some more.” I’m hooked on this product and can’t wait to get my hands on more shades. Flesh and Fantasy is an ivory shimmer and bronze duo.
According to Marc Jacobs, this blush is infused with Japanese air powder. It’s an ultra-lightweight and radiant powder that is nearly undetectable to the touch and gives your skin a radiant finish. They’re not kidding. I love this blush and been using it daily since I purchased it.
What I love most about it is the formula, it’s buildable but remarkably lightweight. This gives a healthy, natural color to the cheeks and never looks cakey or powdery. The shimmer in this blush is very refined, it just gives you a subtle sheen that doesn’t look too over the top. The texture is silky smooth and the longevity is outstanding.
You can also get three different types of hues depending on brush placement which makes it’s versatile. If you purchase anything from Marc Jacobs Beauty I highly recommend the Air Blush Duos. It’s worth every penny!
