How do I love thee Ole? Let me count the ways
For the past few years, Ole Henriksen has dominated my skincare routine. A good skin care regimen is a key to natural beauty. I trust the Ole brand and their philosophy when it comes to skincare. If you’ve been thinking about Ole Henriksen skincare but unsure about which products to try here are my recommendations:
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation ($38/1.7oz) This is my nighttime moisturizer; it’s a light cream that sinks in quickly. I’ve used it in the mornings and find that it works well underneath makeup but my preference is to use this at night. I wake up the next day and my skin feels supple, smooth and looks bright. I have very dry skin but this moisturizer works for all skin types. It has vitamin C complex, licorice root and pea extract to help rejuvenate and repair the skin. If you purchase anything from his brand I would highly recommend Sheer Transformation.
Another favorite is the Fresh Start Eye Creme ($38/1oz) I love thick eye creams and this one is very thick and hydrating. It’s full of anti-oxidants to diminish lines and wrinkles and protects against any future damage. It’s rich and contains Vitamin A and E to heal and renew the under eye area. You just need a tiny bit to get the job done. It’s also a great value for money. Other eye creams I use are pretty much the same price but come with less product. This little tub will last forever.
Truth Serum Collagen Booster ($48/1oz) This is a morning staple for me. It smells amazing, absorbs quickly and gives the most incredible glow. It contains Vitamin C to help strengthen collagen and its full antioxidants to fight off free radicals that can affect the skin. The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths ($15/30 wipes) are loaded with Vitamin C that brightens the skin and helps with collagen production. I love taking these with me on travel. They’re great for removing makeup and they smell just like creamsicle ice cream. ‘Nuff said.
Blue/Black Berry Enzyme Mask ($36/3.5oz) A good face mask is everything. This comes in a gel form with a proprietary blend of papaya enzymes, blueberry, and blackberry fruit extracts to gently exfoliate. I use it about every two weeks. It gently exfoliates my skin but doesn’t dehydrate it and the lavender extract helps keep my skin calm. The one product I found disappointing was the Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask. It caused my skin to breakout and the consistency of the mask was a bit strange; it’s a half leave-in mask and half scrub. It just didn’t work for me but the Blue/Black Berry Enzyme Mask is brilliant.
Last but not least is the Lemon Strip Flash Peel ($48/1.7oz). This has reached Holy Grail status for me. I use it every two weeks. Once a week if my skin is feeling congested. This product can be intense. It contains lactic, glycolic and fruit acids so if you’re new to chemical exfoliates or acid products proceed with caution. I’m accustomed to chemical exfoliates and this product makes such a difference on my skin. It will always be in my skincare arsenal.
Do you use Ole Henriksen Skincare? If yes, what are some of your recommendations?
