Doll lashes and Saucy lips
Today I have my favorite beauty products for the month of October. I’m so happy when October comes around because it’s the time of year I get really excited about makeup and beauty in general. I’m genuinely inspired about creating new looks. And of course, Halloween is my favorite holiday. It’s the best time of the year.
For lips, the Flesh Hot Sauce Lip Gloss in Her Exhalation has taken a permanent place inside my makeup bag. I feel these glosses don’t get talked about a lot, but I’m so impressed with them. The formula is phenomenal, and you get a great color payoff. It’s not sticky or tacky, yet it’s super long-lasting for a gloss. Her Exhalation is a dusty mauve shade; it looks beautiful on its own or as a nude lipstick topper.
Nails
I’ve been loving the Smith & Cult Base Coat. This base coat has made such a difference in my nails. It almost works as a nail strengthener because my nails feel so strong and smoother after I use this. It also helps the longevity of my nail color. This base coat with the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat is the perfect combination. I don’t have to change my polish often, and I get a good six days with minimal chips.
OPI This Isn’t Greenland has been on my nails pretty much all month long. I saw it on Harriet from Harry Makes It Up, and I immediately went on a hunt for it. It’s a light moss green you think would never be attractive on anyone, but I’ve gotten so many compliments on this polish. It’s the perfect nail polish for fall.
I was shopping my stash recently and came across the MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush and Improper Copper. You can buy these separately or make your own palette as I did. Now I heard a rumor that MAC may be discontinuing these; I hope that’s not the case because these are exceptional highlighters. They’re so creamy and pigmented and wear beautifully throughout the day. I love to use them as an eyeshadow too for a quick makeup look.
Doll Lash
My latest mascara obsession is the Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Lashes Fiber Mascara. It has the best wand. I always have trouble picking up those tiny hairs near the tear duct, but this wand is a game-changer. You get such full, fluttery lashes with this mascara. No smudging or fall out either. Lancôme makes incredible mascaras.
Finally, I’ve been using the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation all month. I almost forgot what a nice foundation this is for dry skin; I featured it in my Top 5 Charlotte Tilbury post. It’s a lightweight formula as the name suggests, but has amazing coverage. It’s not a tinted moisturizer by any means, but it feels like one if that makes sense. The finish is fresh and dewy, not cakey at all.
Side note, have you guys tried the Hollywood Flawless Filter? Please let me know your thoughts, I may pick it up during the Sephora VIB sale.
