I love MAC eye shadows; I’m sure many of you already know MAC has a huge selection raging from different colors and finishes. I’ve been using MAC products for years and they’ll always have a special place in my heart. The first real adult makeup I ever bought was from MAC. In fact I still remember my first purchase like it was yesterday. I bought Spice Lip Pencil, Sable and Jest Eye Shadows and Underage Lipglass; actually I think I really was underage at the time. The MAC eye shadow I use the most is Woodwinked but if I had to pick an all-time favorite it would be a toss-up between Print and Sketch. I may do an in-depth blog post on my entire collection in the future, now on to the quad.
When putting together a travel quad I like to pick colors that can work for any occasion. I love one-shadow looks because it’s easy and fast and these four colors work well for that. These also look great paired with each other, whether I want to use all four or just two or three. First up Naked Lunch, I love wearing this on the entire lid with just black eyeliner. Naked Lunch is a frost finish and pairs beautifully with Soft Brown on the crease. MAC describes this as a soft golden peachy brown and it’s a matte finish. This is one of my newer shadows and I can’t believe it took me so long to buy it; it’s a great everyday shade and I’m glad to have included it the quad.
Next up is Woodwinked and Sumptuous Olive. Both are a Veluxe Pearl, which is my favorite shadow finish from MAC. Woodwinked is the one shade that’s always in my travel quad. MAC describes it as a warm antique brown. I love wearing this on its own all over the lid and blended out, it’s gorgeous. And finally Sumptuous Olive, it’s Khaki with pearl. Please excuse the dent; we had a little de-potting accident. This is a great olive shade; it’s modern and chic and looks beautiful on brown eyes. Temptalia has a helpful blog post on different combinations you can try with Sumptuous Olive, check it out here: http://bit.ly/29mqDuq
What are your favorite MAC eye shadows? I’m always looking for new suggestions!
