It’s time for Empties!
First up is Soap and Glory. This is such a great brand, cute packaging aside their products are really effective. They get the job done. Both of these are shower staples for me and I already have backups. According to the website The Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub (300ml/$15.00) features a super skin-smoothing blend of cupuacu scrubs, banana, almond, and honey extracts to gently polish, smooth, and moisturize the skin. It does exactly what it says on the jar. This is my all-time favorite body scrub. I love to exfoliate my body, as odd as it sounds I crave exfoliation. The particles in this are fine enough to not harm my skin but powerful enough to remove any dead cells leaving my skin silky smooth. This has a strong maple scent; it makes me think of pancakes and that’s always a good thing. The scent is amazing.
I immediately follow up with the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk Lotion (500ml/$12.00) Again the scent is heavenly, it smells just like dessert. The lotion works as good as the scrub. It hydrates well and absorbs quickly. I’ve heard people describe this as a lightweight lotion but I find it quite thick and luxurious especially for a drugstore item. In my opinion this is just as good as any high-end body creams out there. Lately I can’t use one without the other, it’s a match made in heaven!
Another body lotion I used up is the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream (7.3oz/$13.49) this is my go to product for Eczema and Dermatitis, which I suffer from occasionally. This is the only product that calms any flaking or cracking on my skin. It relieves any itching especially on my legs. It’s a great lotion for anyone that suffers from very dry skin.
Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease Body Mist (2.5oz/$15.00) I use this every night after a shower, I love wearing a soft fragrance mist to bed. The notes according to the website are black vanilla, frozen pear and blooming gardenia. It’s sweet, fruity and feminine. Unfortunately I don’t think it comes in a full size, it wasn’t on the Victoria’s Secret website but I’ll definitely purchase this again, for a travel size this lasted a very long time. If you like sweet fragrances Noir Tease is for you.
MAC Coconut Prep + Prime Fix+ (3.4oz/$22.00) Why MAC? Why do you insist on doing this to us? This is yet another limited edition product MAC should make permanent. I took my time with this one because I didn’t want it to end. I’m a big fan of Fix+ in general; it’s a fabulous setting spray. It blends my makeup beautifully and it’s hydrating but I strongly believe the coconut Fix+ is better than the original. The scent is lovely and so refreshing and I seriously want to cry because it’s gone. Sigh.
Beautyblender blendercleanser® solid (1oz/$16.00) When it comes to cleaning my makeup brushes I’m pretty old school, I still use olive oil on a paper towel and baby shampoo. Sometimes I use a few pumps of my MAC Cleanse Off Oil for those stubborn foundation brushes. But lately all I’ve been using is this; the blendercleanser is gentle and fragrance free and I love that it’s easy to use and FAST. It’s the most effective way to clean a Beautyblender, I will definitely re-purchase it.
